Hi, I’m Macheila. I am originally from South Africa and now proudly call New Zealand home. I’m a qualified hairstylist, educator, and former business owner with a passion for people, learning, and community. I spent over a decade in the hair industry as a senior stylist, salon owner, and industry educator, helping clients feel their best while mentoring and developing aspiring professionals.

After moving to New Zealand, I found myself working in the education sector as a learning assistant and completed my New Zealand Certificate in Education Support (Level 4). Through this work, I discovered a deep passion for working with youth and supporting diverse learning needs.

Outside of work, I love sport, baking, gardening, painting, reading, and spending time with my family.
