Bruce’s retail career began with Caltex Oil N.Z Limited in various retail marketing roles until he decided to purchase a strategic Caltex retail outlet. With his team, Bruce developed the site’s fuel and shop volumes to become one of New Zealand’s largest retail service stations. With his expertise in franchising and retail, Bruce accepted a position with the Paper Plus group as Retail Business Advisor assisting Store Managers to train staff and maximize business returns. As Bruce enjoys staff selection and training he developed from startup the Wellington Agency for Frontline Retail Recruitment Group specialising in retail recruitment at Store Manager and Assistant Manager levels. He continued supporting young people as a pre-employment Youth Guarantee Tutor and Branch Manager for G&H Training in Lower Hutt. Bruce is a keen sportsperson who can often be found at his local tennis club and golf course.
