Dean has been involved in the travel and tourism industry for the large part of his working life. He has spent many years honing his professional skills in a broad spectrum of Travel Industry fields ranging from working as a tour guide, overseas resort manager, Leisure Travel Agent and as a sales support consultant. He has lived and worked in the UK, Croatia, Italy, Greece and Austria before settling in New Zealand. During that time, Dean has been very lucky to have traveled to some wonderful destinations throughout Asia, America as well as Australia and the Pacific.

Education was never too far from Dean’s thoughts and when he finished his career in the travel industry, teaching travel and tourism then became his full-time occupation. He joined New Zealand’s largest private tertiary establishment that specialises in training programmes for the airline, travel and tourism industries. He moved to Capital Training in 2015 and gained a National Certificate in Adult Education and Training alongside a National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy, Level 5. He has since been involved in developing a workplace literacy and numeracy programme in a variety of workplace settings.

Dean has a passion for sharing and acquiring knowledge and is committed to lifelong learning. Outside work, Dean is a self-confessed foodie and enjoys spending time with the family and keeping fit.
