Ian has a long history in the education sector, beginning as a Lecturer at Manukau Institute of Technology where he taught a range of subjects, ranging from introductory computing courses, through web design, gaming and more. He then moved to Yoobee Colleges in Auckland where he taught animation, design and film-making courses, ranging from entry-level certificates and STAR courses, through to third year degree projects, before moving to a Team Lead role supporting both staff and students alike. Along with his expertise in challenging and dynamically changing productions, Ian has over two decades of experience working in the design, gaming, film, and animation industries both here in New Zealand and overseas, and has directed and produced a wide range of projects; including those with an educational focus through gamification targeted to our young people, to promote learning through play. In his spare time, Ian is a keen digital sculptor creating artwork for clients all around the world.
