Katie began her working life as a travel agent which enabled her to pursue her passion, leading on to living and working in London. As an experienced senior, she enjoyed the challenge and satisfaction of training new travel agents. This led to her gaining employment at a prominent NZ tourism education provider as a tutor, senior tutor and finally as Head of Training. During this time she gained her adult teaching certificate and the National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Level 5. The opportunity to work for Capital Training was a move away from the old passion for travel into her new stronger passion for teaching. Outside of the classroom she can be spotted in the harbour working on her ocean swimming, or be heard practising her challenging tap dancing routines.
