COURSE DESCRIPTION
Our ILN courses are designed to support learners who want to gain confidence and upskill in reading, writing, working with numbers and communication. Small class sizes, tailored learning plans and one on one mentoring help learners to succeed where they may not have previously.
CERTIFICATION
- Intensive Literacy and Numeracy (ILN)

WHO CAN ENROL?
This is an open programme designed for all learners who do not already hold a level 1 qualification or for those who demonstrate a need for literacy and/or numeracy education.
Applicants must also be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
WHERE CAN I STUDY?
You can study at any one of our 6 centres
HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
This is a 5 – 20 week programme.
Monday – Thursday between the hours of 9:00am – 2:30pm
Friday between the hours of 09:00am – 12:30pm
The programme is 80-300 hours long in total.
ARE THERE ANY COSTS?
This programme is fees free – we’ll also provide free breakfast each day.
WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
Youth graduates may progress onto Capital Training’s Level 1 Foundation Skills programme, while those over 25 have the option of joining one of our Computing, Retail or Hospitality programmes. Alternatively graduates may seek entry level employment in any field.
