COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification is aimed towards learners who have an interest in developing their skills and knowledge so they can advance to higher levels of study or into employment, while gaining their NCEA Level 1. The programme will provide an insight into a range of employment, self-management and career development skills. While building learner confidence in an inclusive and well supported environment.

WHO CAN ENROL?
This is a youth qualification designed for all learners aged 16 – 24 who do not already hold their level 1 qualification. We do have a small amount of places at some of our centres for learners over the age of 25.
Applicants must also be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
WHERE CAN I STUDY?
You can study at any one of our 6 centres
HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
This is a 20 week programme.
Monday – Thursday between the hours of 9:00am – 2:30pm
Friday between the hours of 09:00am – 12:30pm
ARE THERE ANY COSTS?
This programme is fees free – we’ll also provide free breakfast each day.
WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
On the completion of this qualification graduates can choose to continue studying any of our level 2 qualifications in Foundation skills, Computing, Retail, Hospitality or Building and Construction or continue their education with an external organization.
