COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification is aimed towards learners who have an interest in developing their computer skills and in business administration or coding. The units you will study will advance your Microsoft computing competence.
CERTIFICATION
- New Zealand Certificate in Computing (NZCC2)
LEARNING OUTCOMES
This qualification includes both theory and practical elements.
In the core compulsory section, learners will cover:
- Microsoft Word
- Excel
- Publisher
- PowerPoint
- Web design
- Computer Confidence
- Web Design and Coding
- Digital Image Editing
- Internet Use and Safety
Learners will choose one core elective, either:
- Coding
- Business Administration
WHO CAN ENROL?
This is designed for all learners. It’s suitable for learners aged 16 – 24 who do not already hold a qualification at level 2 or above, and adult learners over 25.
Applicants must also be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
This programme is offered full-time over 16-20 weeks or part-time over 32 weeks.
Monday – Thursday between the hours of 9:00 am – 2:30 pm
Friday between the hours of 09:00 am – 12:30 pm
ARE THERE ANY COSTS?
This programme is fees free – we’ll also provide free breakfast each day.
WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
On the completion of this programme graduates can choose to continue studying at a higher level at an external organisation. The skills gained in this qualification will be invaluable in a variety of computer-based workplaces.
