Work Ready Career Programme

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Our Work Ready Career Programme is run in partnership with Vibe and is funded by the Ministry of Social Development. It is designed to guide you in exploring career options and plan your pathway, upskill you with work-ready skills and help you find sustainable employment. Our course will help prepare and guide you to apply for jobs and prepare for the interview process. We will work alongside you in support for 6 months when you complete the programme.

• Job Searching
• Interview Skills
• Health and Wellbeing
• Employment Rights and Obligations
• Introductory units specific to your chosen Industry

WHO CAN ENROL?

This course is for 16 – 24 years old throughout the Hutt Valley Region, who have the intention to complete and undertake employment or carry on to further training within their chosen career path.

WHERE CAN I STUDY?

The course is available at our New Zealand, Lower Hutt site.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?

Our Programme runs for 10 weeks, unless you get a job sooner! There will also be additional support for 6 months from the Youth Worker at Vibe, to assist you to stay in your job.

ARE THERE ANY COSTS?

This course is fees FREE – we’ll also provide free breakfast and cover your travel costs!

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

After completing the course, if you haven’t found employment, you will still have gained the necessary skills and confidence you need to help you to continue to job search and find sustainable employment. For 6 months we will also continue to help you and present you with other opportunities as they arise.
